As a brand, MrPlay has been around for some time. They first started out in 2009, with their online casino business going live in 2017. More recently, ust this last year, MrPlay opened their new sports book, which is who we’ll be dealing with. They have a huge number of sporting events covered, and also offer some great sign-up bonuses and high percentage payouts. What’s not to love!
Background & License
MrPlay is operated by AG Communications ltd, which is a Maltese based gaming company who’ve been in business since 2007.AG Communications has licenses from the Malta Gaming Authority, the UK Gaming Commission and the Swedish Gambling Authority. Then there’s the Irish Betting license. All these licenses are supported by over 40 active gambling websites, which should lend some credence to their overall operation.
Welcome Bonus & Promotions
Currently there are two bonuses available. Because MrPlay only opened it’s sports book relatively recently, it’s got some catching up to do to hit the big league. To that end, they’re offering some pretty generous deals. You’ll find a Welcome Bonus for when you sign up for thee first time, and also a “Playboost” Promotion for ACCA bets. The Welcome offer is the standard fair you’ll find from most sports books. To be eligible, you’ll be needing to deposit a minimum of £10 and then bet on a selection of events at minimum odds of 2.00. With this you’ll receive a reward of a free bet token worth £10 which you can use on any qualifying bets. The good news is that, unlike many other sports books, if you win, then there are no other hoops to jump through and you can cash out straight away.
If you play ACCA bets with four or more selections, then you can use the Playboost to help increase your potential earnings. We did notice that the minimum odds for each individual selection needs to be at odds of 1.2. With this promotion, the value of your ACCA bets increases by a certain percentage depending on the number of selections you make. For example, a four-fold ACCA bet get a 4% increase in winnings. A 15-fold one gets a massive 77% bonus.
They do have a large number of available methods of depositing your hard earned cash into your online account. Last time we looked you could use more than 20 different ways. These include bank debit card, bank transfer, all e-wallets and then the usual suspects of Paypal, Skrill and Neteller. The minimum deposit is £10, unless you’re using Interac, in which case the minimum deposit is £50. All deposits are instant, allowing you to play straight away, except for Interac, where you have to wait 24 for processing.
MrPlay Signing Up
There’s a strict process that all UK licensed gambling companies have to adhere to when it comes to signing up. Apart from the rudimentary email and password, along with your personal information like name and address, you’ll have to forward them 2 x forms of scanned ID and proof of address. We should point out that this is standard procedure for all reputable betting sites, and all the sites listed will have the same requirement. Only once this information has been verified, will you be able to place a deposit and start to play.
Sports and Leagues
Even though MrPlay is the new kid on the block, they offer a surprisingly varied number of sports and leagues. All in all there are over 25 sports represented. These include all your regular ones like horse racing and football. But there are some left field ones as well, which include Gaelic Hurling! Then there are the internet regulars of ESports, virtual sports and other things like politics. As far as leagues go, well, they cover even 4th division in all the smallest national and international leagues. In fact they have over 10,000 selections every month. When it comes to the odds being offered, we have to admit that they do have some of the lowest betting margins available anywhere. In other words, bets that guarantee you the highest payouts.
MrPlay Betting Types
They appear to support every type of bet known to man! Everything from singles, to ACCA bets and handicaps. Then there are Asian handicaps, over/under, draw no bets to name but a tiny percentage of betting markets on offer. You’ll also find sports specific bets, like tricasts, knockouts, number of corners and so on. They have over 140 different types of bet (Yes, we counted them!).
Withdrawing your Winnings
As with the other sites we review, you can withdraw your winnings using the same means with which you made your initial deposits. The minimum withdrawal is £10 and the monthly maximum is £7,000. On the whole, they pay out within 3 working days, though we note that bank transfer and debit card withdrawal does take between four to eight days. MrPlay can sometimes require additional documentation, though this is par for the course for most sites today.
Security and Safety
As with all the sites we recommend, MrPlay employs state of the art encryption so that all your private and banking information is secure. As we previously mentioned, MrPlay has licenses in various jurisdictions making them fully compliant. They don’t share your information with third parties and sell it forwards. Also they feature a number of gambling addiction prevention measures which include deposit limits, account freezing and others methods to help those in need. This is something we always applaud.
The site clams that they stand or fall by CARE. That stands for “Customers are Really Everything”. We found their customer support staff to be polite, patient, helpful and very quick to respond. You can get in touch with MrPlay’s support staff in several ways. There’s Email, live chat, and phone on any day of the week, 6.00 to 23.00. We’re not sure why they don’t fill in those hours, which would e extra helpful for night-time gamblers. In these times of Covid-19, it’s good to see that they are still offering phone services, as many of the big players have stopped. Always good to see that customers are taken good care of.
For such a new sports book, we can see that they’re trying their best. In this time of Covid-19, they have our sympathies. One point is that their bonuses, at just £10, are definitely on the smaller side compared with many other companies which are are offering £15 – £25. Also deposits are limited to £7,000. For us that’s not a bad thing, as we’re always concerned about punters over-spending. Having said that, they do have a pretty bonkers selection of sports to choose from. This coupled with high payouts and low betting margins do help make this sports book more worth your time and money. As a bonus, the site both performs well and is fast. It has it’s own dedicated support.
