The Supercopa de España or Spanish Super Cup is fought each season between the winners of La Liga and the Copa del Rey. First established in 1982, it has been an El Clásico seven times with Real Madrid being victorious at six times to one.  Their last meeting for the Spanish Super Cup took place in the 2017 -18 in Barcelona, with Real Madrid going on to win, 3-1. Later there was a 2-0 win for Madrid at home, meaning that they were declared the winners with a 5-1 aggregate.
